Temperature Dependent 5f-states in URu2Si2

A dramatic temperature dependent enhancement of U 5f spectral weight at EF is observed in angle-resolved photoemission measurements of URu2Si2 at the center of an X-point hole-pocket. Comparison of this temperature dependent behavior for excitation both at and below the U 5d→5f resonant threshold is presented.

MICROMAGNETISM IN URu2Si2 AND HIGH TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTORS

It has been proposed, that unconventional density waves (UDW) are possible candidates for systems with hidden order parameter. Unlike in conventional density waves, no periodic modulation of either the charge-, or the spin-density is present in UDW, in spite of a clear thermodynamic signal. Although the unconventional spin density wave (USDW) has been suggested for the ”antiferromagnetic” phase...

Topological properties of possible Weyl superconducting states of URu2Si2

We show that the current thermodynamic measurements in the superconducting phase of URu2Si2 are compatible with two distinct singlet chiral paired states kz(kx± iky) and (kx± iky). Depending on the locations of the Fermi surface in the hidden ordered phase, both of these chiral d-wave pairings can support point and line nodes. Despite possessing similar low temperature thermodynamic properties,...

Longitudinal leaky (LL) waves on YZ-LiNbO3 substrates [1, 2] feature many properties which are unusual for SAW and remain unexplained. Recent demonstration [3] of wideband low-loss filters operating on LL waves in the 2.5–5 GHz frequency range, manufactured with optical lithography, makes these waves of primary practical importance. Filters based on LL waves may become competitors against the F...

Temperature dependent iodide oxidation by MLCT excited states.

The metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) excited states of two related heteroleptic Ru(ii) compounds [Ru(bpy)2(deeb)](2+) and [Ru(bpy)2(deebq)](2+), where bpy is 2,2'-bipyridine, deeb is 4,4'-(CO2CH2CH3)2-2,2'-bipyridine and deebq is 4,4'-(CO2CH2CH3)2-2,2'-biquinoline, were characterized in fluid acetonitrile by temperature dependent photoluminescence spectroscopies as well as quenching by io...
